That’s why the Business Success Network – For Disabled Entrepreneurs is here to provide a supportive and inclusive community where disabled business owners – and those who support them – can come together to thrive.

To Start, A Story
The wonderful Stacey Calder who runs the Business Success Network UK had been trying to plant seeds in my brain for a while about running a local community group with her.
However, I personally think a local group would lend itself to in-person networking and due to chronic illness I can never be sure if I will be well enough to go out and do something.
Then it hit me.
I know quite a few business owners with similar problems – and then I went to an FSB meeting for disabled entrepreneurs and I absolutely loved the supportive feel of the event.
But I want that every day!
So of course that gave me the idea of setting up a disabled entrepreneur community under the banner of the Business Success Network – I told Stacey this and she got exited too! 2 days later it was live and accepting members.
Those that have joined have really got stuck in and it’s a really positive space with lots of discussion and support with the challenges we face as disabled businesses owners.
Who is it for?
The community is set up for disabled entrepreneurs whether that’s, physical,mental, chronic illness, neurodivergence or anything that makes running a business either harder – or just having to do things in different ways.
But also those businesses who specifically support those people. Whether that’s their niche, or they accept Access to Work clients or you think you have something to offer those businesspeople – maybe you’re a carer yourself while running a business and need that emotional support.
All are welcome.
What's happening in there?
The group is set up to be supportive. Just from myself (as community leader) we have weekly posts around the following:
- Your weekly goals
- Support we can give you this week
- Midweek check in
- Introductions and what you’d like to see from the community.
- End of week check in on your goals
- Self care
- Weekly wins
As well as weekly discussion topics, showcases, promotions and collaboration/referral requests.
Plus any topics the community want to post about.
We also run fortnightly networking events – with lots of future plans for different events and things to get involved in.
We have launched a BSN podcast mini series and the 3Spoonies podcasts which you can find on the podcasts page.
